We are thrilled to announce that Cheltenham Swimming Clubs Tharusha Perera, will be representing Sri Lanka at the World Aquatics Junior Open Water Championships in Italy. This prestigious event will take place off the beautiful island of Sardinia from the 5th to the 8th of September.
Tharusha, who trains rigorously NPAC including up to eight sessions per week, has been selected to compete in the 7.5km and 3km events. His commitment to excellence is evident as he trains eight times a week, covering an impressive 40km in the pool each week in preparation for this global competition.
We are incredibly proud of Tharusha’s achievements and wish him the best of luck as he competes against the world’s best junior open water swimmers.
